You must be a terrible Christian then. Ya know, since the Bible is the divine word of God and as such it is an infallible work which contains things like all humans descended from two people and the earth isn't 4 billion years old. These beliefs don't exactly seem reconcilable with fundamental science and some of its discoveries.
tl;dr I agree.. if you don't hold typical religious beliefs.

Clearly it was written by man but that isn't Christian Doctrine.
Follow that reasoning. If it was 'written' by man then it has mans flaws and is subject to man's interpretations. One can't be sure what is Divine word or man's embellishment. How does one pick and chose parts? Is the Adam and Eve story not true because of modern genetic linage research or because some man made it up because he was "inspired"? Are the 10 commandments "inspired" and just some man's interpretation of what God wants or what God actually said.
