Explain something to me here... How did his hair suddenly turn white? unless he is some sort of superpowered villain? He doesn't even look old.

I suppose "very often" is a relative statement. Mostly my evidence is anecdotal. In fact, the PhD from the article I'm about to cite says that stress doesn't actually cause your hair to turn grey, only genetics can do that. However, stress does cause your hair to fall out faster, which can reveal grey/white hair quickly.
