I'm very afraid because there is a chance that someone will cure aging in our lifetime and then another one will torture us forever and regrow our organs when they are not functioning well because of torture just to induce fear in the heart of his enemies!

You're mixing up biological immortality with literal immortality. Curing aging via some therapy doesn't necessarily imply that getting your guts cut out by the cartel with a hacksaw will also be cured.
