The disciplines operating closest to the "bare metal" fundamental truths about reality are philosophers and mathematicians (who generally get along and have a decent amount of field overlap, by the way).

This makes physicists seethe, which is a net positive in all contexts.

Im deep ibto Phenomenology/Physiology/Metagenetics. These guys are on the right track. Atavism, Symbiosis, Hybridization, Lateral Gene Transfer. Evolution and the "Tree of Life" need an overhaul.
