Is space a physical thing? Or is it just a property of something else?

It's a lack of any physical things

I mean, yeah

but then how can nothing have a size?

a holographic projection from an infinitely distant point who's projected components exist as a 2 dimensional plane where matter and space are virtual.

Space is a concept, like infinite, or roundness, or rectangles, etc. It doesn't exist on its own, but is a description of another thing(s), aka the planets/particles/etc and their distances.

The optimum unified equation is:

U = E / S

Solving for S (Space) give us,

S = E / U

Space is the entire universe repeating infinitely at varying energy scales.
