Tear down every single power plant that uses fossil fuels and replace them with a combination of nuclear, solar, and wind power. Ban the use of gasoline in cars from fossil fuels-instead,create gasoline only from carbon in the air. Ramp up efforts into mass harvesting of lithium from seawater and use it to support a massive increase in electric vehicles. Build entire nuclear power, solar and wind plants for the purpose of powering enormous direct air capture systems, split the co2 into oxygen and bricks of graphite and give them away as a building material.

Second, Russia and Canada represent less than 10% of the land area of the Earth, so your graph says that world GDP will plummet. Third, Russia and Canada represent less than 4% of world GDP, so your graph says world GDP is going to drop a fuck load.

Do everything we can to keep those with high birthrates alive so they can reproduce as much as possible. Before too long western civilization collapses. The high birthrate breeders, having become entirely dependent on western handouts and technology, also have a huge population collapse. I do care about climate change, but politicians are all retarded, and the few that actually care about the environment, namely aoc, while their hearts are in the right place, are all severely misled, and would ultimately be detrimental to the environment. The reason corporations allow stuff like the green new deal is because it would actually benefit them. It would only increase oil use, and they would get tons of government funding to build "clean burning" oil facilities to convert its energy into electricity. Anything actually effective would immediately be shut down and swept under the rug.
The GND would have us ban all motor cars, but still allow cargo ships, 15 of which at the panamax limit pollute as much as all cars in the world. It would also have us tear down every building in America and rebuild them to be environmentally friendly. It's all foolish pipe dreams.
If we want to actually have a positive impact on the environment, we would switch to nuclear power, which is safe and easy to keep clean and green. If we wanted to improve the environment, we wouldn't expand globalism, we would return to pre-WWI era american isolationism, and we would stop importing products and people from foreign countries. We could build factories that are up to US code and allow the foreign product producers to manage them, but keep them operated by Americans. Americans should be buying products made by Americans in America.
America is a city on a hill, and it should draw it's water from a wellspring at its peak. We should no longer trek miles to a foreign swamp to retrieve muck water.

The feedback loops are already running so those in power stopped giving a shit. All the guilt tripping in the world won’t stop people consooming. You have to force it by gunpoint. One of my personal conspiracy theories was corona was an excuse for this, they will depopulate as much as possible and halt globalism until we get to manageable levels again. The elites don’t want to get rekt so their hand is forced. Same with all the recent trips for Mars and such, it’s a good backup plan. Shame it’s happening so late though.

You're talking cosmopolitan educated folks who will have to live like egyptian bronze age slaves in order to save the human race. serious question for the climate change retards (yes i believe in a changing climate, also noticed they changed the name multiple times, i just dont think you can do shit long term about it)

how long do we plan to monitor and manage the climate for
decades,centuries, a milennia?
For all long as it takes?
How many organization that global in nature do you think can last for 100 + years?

Why is no eco-tard talking about nuclear power, we arent even testing and designing for build new plants.

one nuclear powerplant per sqft does more work than solar panels of the same sqft. They are bro?... ok prove it all the leftist green talking heads are just talking about wind and solar and that isnt going to cut it, not even in the slightest ask Germany who still buy gas from russia.

Who will set the temperature? will there be a global body who gets to say its too hot oh but now its too cold.

It wont end at just climate change.
We know this isnt JUST about climate change but they will use climate change to call for more global regulations on things that go far beyond just climate like social justice clap trap and controlling birth rates, what kind of foods you can eat etc.

Again all im all for ecological conservation but even i know this is just a trojan horse. Remember EU was started as a coal and steel agreement and has now morphed into something more insidious and all encompassing.

I don't think anyone's saying that you should vote for politicians who give lip service to environmentalism and use it to advance unrelated policies, just because someone says they're pro-environment doesn't mean they actually are. Vote for politicians who say they're going to build nuclear plants. Vote for politicians who push for more electric vehicles. Human birthrates worldwide are in decline and around ~2050 the Earths population will see a sharp decline. This will be followed by a sharp decline in consumption.
We're doing fine. We humans collectively decided years back that we needed to curb our birthrates and lo and behold we did it by simply educating the masses.
Before this we also managed to:
>Realize leaded fuel was wreaking havoc on the Earths ecosystem - so we stopped using it
>Realize popular gasses we used in industry were wreaking havoc on the Earths ozone layer - so we stopped using them

Fertility rates going down helps - as you can see in the graphs I posted it slows the increase. But it doesn't stop the population from increasing, since 2 people having six children makes 8, while the six children then having one each makes 12.
For the population to go down in 30 years a very sharp decrease is needed and that's not what's happening.

And UN projection up to now have underestimated birth rates, not overestimated them, on account of africa not following the curve set by asia.

>Why does almost no one care about climate change?

Because scientists have been warning the general public about climate change for over 100 years. Additionally, the public has the misconception that they can have this large lasting impact by doing simple things like recycling and using reusable straws. So in their eyes it is a slow gradual problem that can be resolved with small efforts. They do not view it as a big deal.

Recycling has ironically done more damage to the climate change movement than anything else so far.

Now I'm not denying climate change. first it was pre industrial revolution, omg the earth cant sustain 1billion of us humans on the earth
then nobel invented fertilizer
then its was omg, the cities are being over run by horses, we need to tax horses then the automobile was invented.
then it was the big freeze which was before my time
then on captain planet is was acid rain (after these messages we'll be right back) what ever happened to all that acid rain???
then it was global warming
side note remember peak oil? and how we'd all be going to war over the last barrel of crude, shit we had so much oil the price literally went negative
then it was manmade climate change then they said fuck it because they started to look like idiots as people were beginning to catch on, it became the all ubiquitous climate change...no shit sherlock everyone knows the climate changes.
and they germany buying oil from russia, wait i thought it was an emergency? why are you still using it if its an emergency

Once the energy issue has been resolved we' will move unto some other media created crisis to whip up useful idiots like yourselves.
the only one that makes the most sense is potable money.

But once humanity starts to colonizes other planets we will be in a realm of near infiinite resources.

do you know of any tax which has lasted for millennias to address a problem that would span.... well billions of years?

Reminder there is no such thing as white overpopulation, no western country is overpopulated.

We keep sending unlimited free food, medicine and other resources to places that ARE overpopulated, on purpose, making it worse, but saying we should stop is called bigotry while telling US we should stop having kids is considered socially just.

We're fed up being the scapegoats and sacrificial lambs. We're angry and getting angrier every day. The pendulum swings back soon

I am not the originally poster. However, I believe the point he is trying to make is that, when actually implemented, recycling is really inefficient/detrimental as an waste management system. The big issue is that "re-purposing" part of recycling needs to be down where manufacturing occurs to make it economically viable (i.e. China, India, Philippines, etc). This requires transporting the waste material via transport carriers, which consumes a substantial amount of oil and ironically creating a lot of CO2 and pollution. Then when the waste actually arrives at the foreign manufacturing plant, a lot of it is unusable (see https://www.cbc.ca/news/politics/garbage-costs-chronic-philippines-1.5156115).).

This video does a good job going over the big issues of recycling https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=o2v7sbdl3WA

To truly solve the issue would involve some very uncomfortable confrontations with truth.
1) Europe is a problem but not as big a problem as China +China in africa. These countries give 0 shit about the environment. Unless you are willing to kill a billion chinese (I suggest naming the han chinese an endangered species, this way the Japanese will attempt to hunt them with to extinction with harpoons)

2) plastic is not recyclable, 90% of it anyway, but is the basis of most of our products

3) there is no currently available green energy that could compensate with fossil fuel when considering a majority 52% of fossil fuel is used in industrial activities (transport by contrast is only 30%) it includes energy usage but huge amounts of this energy is just industrial processes, not peoples televisions.

4) we would need a lower standard of living as a result of 3.

5) we are obsessed with at source solutions (cutting co2) when we should be focusing on much cheaper secondary level solutions like ocean iron fertilisation.

al gore made millions
by predicting the end of the world
camping lost millions
by predicting the end of the world

libtards have wizened up about religion, but left their flank completely exposed. climate change is 100% real. nobody argues this. people argue A) our planet is on a moving orbit while rotating around an explosion, so climate change is natural B) observably scientists have a lot to gain by pressing climate change, and nothing to gain by admitting the above (A), and C) anyone who tells you the 'world will end if you don't give me money' shouldn't be trusted

(C) is observably the most basic kind of common sense, but i swear to god it's the hardest to explain to people. ignorance isn't the problem, GULLIBILITY is. grifting is the male form of prostitution. old as time, and always doing good business. al gore is my hero, but not because he's right. because he literally convinced people to give him money, got away scott free, and has suffered NO REPERCUSSIONS for one of the most impressive scams of all time. what a champ.
