How is it that a guy who supposedly works 120 hours per week, the billionaire genius, inventor, engineer behind tesla and spacex, who's just shy of building an iron man suit and snapping thanos into dust, can also manage to spend so much time shitposting on twitter and being the king of reddit?

When you're the king you have many advisors you can delegate to while you shitpost online.

definitely not. he probably has visited here on at least one occasion though out of curiosity, but theres no way he browses the uninteresting shitheap that is /pol/. he just shares many 4channer's need to draw attention to themselves by being contrarian.

Guys like that don't actually do much inventing or engineering or much of what we'd actually call work.

They're more commonly like:
>*puff*
>dude, what about like, an electric car
And then it's someone else's job to invent it but they have lots of tools, materials, staff and most importantly, get paid to do it which guys in their garage don't.

That's why we call them entrepreneurs and not inventors because most of them haven't "invented" stuff for years, if they ever did.

His shit-posting is probably just stuff he does between reading corporate reports though he has people for that too.

Because he doesn't work 120 hours per week, isn't a genius, an inventor, the engineer behind Tesla and SpaceX, and isn't just shy of building an iron man suit and snapping thanos into dust.

Musk is some sort of front man, a figurehead. His companies, especially SpaceX, aren't run by him, they're government owned. And Hyperloop is a total scam, the true purpose of which was probably research some materials, the goal was never to create a functional finished Hyperloop system. That or it was just a money scam.

Musk's no omg IRL tony stark! but he is autistic enough to grasp a lot of things at a high level, if you watch his interviews his technical responses are usually broad analogies that the media and mid-wits seem to eat up. Anybody whose worked in industry has seen this a 1000 times before when every shit talking consultant slithers their way into the building. I won't be surprised if he does pic related one day.
If he deserves any praise it's for not giving a fuck and doing what he wants todo. He's also pretty dam practical if you read into the early years of space x.

Following the feynman theory of knowledge. If he can extrapolate a complex technical problem down to elementary school level, then he knows what he's talking about. If you can't explain what you know to a 5 year old, then you don't know shit about the subject.

No. People that work hard don't have time to sleep and consider sleep a waste of time. Avg joe/jane might sleep 10-12 hours, and only work 8 hours a day, but they can't do anything about the state of the world. All they can do is complain and bitch and moan about it. To change the world, you need great thinkers/doers who work hard, harder than anyone else.

It's possible for many, to adapt to ~6 hours, and if you had scheduled days off, or several days downtime following a project completion, - it would be possible to take PEDs and sleep even less(e.g. stay up the last two nights).
But these are humans with the same sleep needs as all of us, and insomnia does not equate to success

Yeah.
Ben Franklin aside, is not that uncommon for a brilliant creative type to be up at late hours, or have some sort of the Epiphany where they can't put down their pencil, or device, for a day and a half.- that can contribute to the eccentric- genius type to have the stereotype of not needing sleep. But yeah, even with modafinil and testosterone replacement, a little bit of adderal, or whatever else these wealthy figures are receiving from their personal Physicians, it's pretty much impossible to neglect sleep patterns on a consistent basis, and perform.
