What's the IQ cutoff to be able to make original intellectual contributions?

Interesting, do you have the source of this table?

>> No.11678640

>>11678630
There's no source, it's made-up bullshit. If you were able to critically think for yourself, you wouldn't have asked that question in the first place.

>> No.11678658

>>11678640
The table was created by someone, ergo it has a source, brainlet. It did not materialize from thin air.

After a bit of googling, it's the estimates from a blogger, so to take with a grain of salt.

of fucking course

It's bullshit, that's what you mean.

What's with the ad homs? Terence Tao has a blog too you know.

Anyway, here's the article for those interested (you seem a bit too brainlet to have the patience to read it but it might interest others): https://www.unz.com/akarlin/intro-apollos-ascent/

>>11678714
Don't point on others if you're just as guilty when it comes to ad homines.

Anyway, the point is that a source should be a credible one, one with hard data. Otherwise you can pull anything.

Anatoly Karlin is biased to say the least, has no professional training in anything he writes about and more often than not all his stories simply work towards an denouement that black people/central asians are inherently bad and stupid and shouldn't be in Russia.
Unz can have good articles, but the China-shilling has become too intense the last few months.

how does one even think critically?
it's all IQ. Life is all about IQ.

ban IQ posts and suddenly half of current /sci/ disappears.

Be ~140+ IQ 40yo disabled mutant NEET. Basically recovering for fifteen year catastrophic setback. Funky health, no resume, just raw IQ and multidisciplinary self-taught education.
Realize that IQ is only valued in the market, in terms of whether it's valuable to the nepotistic in_group.
That IQ is actually seen as a 'hot/cold''trait', not a superpower or a means of exchange.
Constantly see inneficiencies, w/valuable improvements, but nobody cares.
These ingroups have f-u money, and are busy enjoying their OWN ideas and businesses, or have what amounts to an already successful predatory trade, which is more about market position, than innovation.
Be me, resort to mastering difficult markets, designed to be predatory wealth concentration mechanisms. Move towards difficulty and pursuits deemed impossible. Accept a probable outcome of dying poor, in a several years, anyway.
Join high IQ groups thinking some great networking abounds...Instead see midwit narcissists, and their parasitic salesman. Browse "/ScIQ"(kek), and see the meme of IQ as a concrete means of value/exchange/service perpetuated...
There is no X-men. IQ is no more important than penis size. Make friends with the rich kids now, and be a valuable servant-friend in their network. Focus on resume', and prestigious degrees. Learn to understand health, and get the absolute most out of your mental fitness, but otherwise forget IQ. It's useful, but is not what controls/drives the system.

>IQ cutoff

It's not a cutoff it's more like a probability increase with IQ I think

Depends on field? In something like math its at least 130. In anthropology is probably like 100. These are lower limits tho, most math PhDs, let alone people who make meaningful contributions, probably have higher IQs than 130.

I’m pretty sure Bertrand Russell had an IQ or like 105 max so I’d say 100.
