Is science a scam?

I mean look at these past weeks.
All scientists in the whole world working on this and the estimate for a cure is still 1-2 years away just like every other virus, expect instead of a small team in bumfug desert town working to solve a virus no one have heard about, here the whole world is at play.

Science claims to know the exact age of our sun and galaxy, yet can't even map a virus????

Just recently I searched about how many hours the virus can survive on clothes and there still weren't even official sources.

Literally put the virus on clothing and test every hour, it's not that hard, but maybe for scientists it is.

The real scientists are programmers, machine learning, devs, mechanics, surgery doctors, these who makes planes, machines etc.

Everything else is just pseudo scam science.

That sounds true, they can't even cure acne.
Seriously.

Acne is caused by eating dairy, meat, fat, oil, and sugar (especially dairy) and not drinking enough water. And living a sedentary lifestyle.

Yet many people that does that doesn't suffer from acne.

Indeed, but those who do those things are much more likely to.

Science in the Information Age has been reduced to collecting and analysing data without understanding what the data means. We see this same pathology in every field of science, from particle physics to pop psychology. Modern science is Tycho Brahe without Kepler.

The people studying coronavirus are most likely focusing on vaccination given the whole social distancing and staying at home is supposed to mitigate and even quash out the points of contact.

t. Codemonkey who wants to be lumped in with prestige
Programmers ain’t shit to actual computer scientists lmao

Not a scam, but people take science to be a collection of absolute truths and not just the extent of what humans can measure/perceive of the physical world.

We're pretty good at some things, but utter shit at others.

>> No.11566739

>>11563945
The pharmaceutical industry is indeed a scam, the only thing modern medicals do is they hide the symptoms of bad eating habits, mostly eating too much vegetabilic fat and sugar. Which is what the officials recommend that we should eat based on studies conducted or funded by the pharmaceutical industry

>>11563996
I think, speaking from personal experience it is the other way around

sedentary lifestyle > sugar > oil (vegetabilic) > fat > meat > dairy

the exception is of course milk, cuz milk is not just dairy, its also sugar.

Not long. The higher the room temperature the lower the chance of survival. Coronaviruses don't like medium to high humidity, that accelerates inactivation. Also exposure to light, oxygen disintegrates viral envelope leading to faster inactivation. One study looked at TGEV and MHV viruses and this is the study : https://aem.asm.org/content/76/9/2712

100% this
nobody has yet connected all the dots in QM to assess that the future actually already exists, unifying QM for GR and solving delayed choice experiment, inflation, action at a distance and more "mysteries". Instead we get professional nutters like Krauss and Kaku to stagnate science and refuse to follow novel approaches. They say ideas stay with a generation, and we are waiting for the next generation to overtake.

You hire one man to do a job, it takes him a week, you hire two men to do a job, it takes 4 days. You hire 3 men to do a job, it takes 3.5 days, you hire 4 men to do a job, it takes 3.5 days, you hire 5 men to do a job, it takes 5 days. Throwing more people at a problem doesn't linearly reduce the time of the job. It takes 1-2 years to come up with a cure, that's the number. A plumber comes to your house and says it will take 2 days to fix the issue, is it a same because he can't hire 1000 plumbers and fix it in 1.5 seconds? No, that's just how long the job takes. You want then to rush out a half assed vaccine that doesn't work?

>> No.11567088

Just because some scientific fields have yielded products which utilize principles they discovered and elaborated on, doesn't mean that scientists generally are trustworthy or useful people.
