What do you think humanity has reached in the year 3000?

That so sad, we will never experience wandering around the universe.

Theoretically it's possible, mankind has been around already for way more then 10000 years

Year 1-1000 remained roughly same. Year 1000-1500 remained largely same. Year 1500-1700 remained largely same. Year 1700-1800 remained largely same. Yearly 1800-1850 remained largely same. Year 1850-1875 remained largely same. Year 1875-1900 saw dramatic changes. Each decade after 1900 saw dramatic changes. The limit now is ~10 years, a baby growing up to childhood, a each new generation brings new wild changes. Year 2000s was the mp3 generation. 2010s was the smartphone generation. Can we remove the 10 year/generation limit? We probably can with brain augmentation devices that allow faster communication(Neuralink). Year 2020-3000 is an ungodly amount of time and changes can't be predicted based on whimsical nature. Can you imagine what 2020s' thing will be? I can guess its dumb AI stuff, but these are vague at best. What about 2030s/40s/50s? 1000 years into future, human as "species" might not even exist due to our exponential growth in advancements in our science/engineering.

>can with brain augmentation devices
The question is whether it's asymptotic or exponential.

>ignores literally thousands of years of human history and developement, human empires and first primitive computers
>ignores the the end of antiquity, the age of enlightenment, the industrial revolution and most of modernity
you're american, right?

Nothing interesting . Instead of some colonization of space and interesting discoveries , people will willingly choose life on their own , personal virtual Matrix on Earth where they will live until they all się.

>we will never experience wandering around the universe.
So will the rest of humanity, ever.
Thinking that humanity will ever leave this solar system is as retarded as how people thought the future will look like in the 70's, with silver spaceships and floatating devices and shit.

We will NEVER leave our solar system for one reason and one reason only:
Humanity will never give FULL control to AI.
This is out of pride, we cope by saying AI is untrustworthy and could go haywire. But really it's our deep seeded pride to have full control of our fate. We simply cannot hand it to another intelligence and be told what to do. This is our demise.

Humanity will never be able to coordinate deep-space travel. Think about it, we can't get along with each other on this tiny Earth. Each country hates and fears the other, even its neighbors. Think about civilizations that live on different planets, one on Mars, one on Europa, etc. You really think those guys will trust each other? You really think the Alliance of Jupiter's Moons will allow the Mars bitches to use Jupiters gravity?
The politics and bureaucracy will be out of this world.

The species that will populate the galaxy will not be human. Even if they will be our descendants, they will not share the things that make us human. Like pride, love, passion, lust, and fear.

Wouldn't it be insanely dangerous just randomly wandering around the universe? I'm going to be pessimistic and say we'll either be extinct or won't have gone very far by y3k.
