Howcome people like to collect things, like dvds, specifically ones with lots of behind the scenes and extras, just buy them, and own them physically.. but nonetheless lack all subsequent desire to even watch any of the contents? It is so confusing..

why do you work to develop your mind with math and science when you're just gonna be a bitch anyways? very confusing

The thrill of gambling comes from almost winning, the expectation of a win. A true addict will not stop at a big win, he or she will keep playing until everything is lost. The reason for this is that the win is not the end goal it's the exictement of expecting a win.

For collecting its the same thing, you find something you've been looking for and you get some kind of enjoyment out of that. Owning the actual item is not as much fun as looking for it, so you go out and look for other items. It's a never ending cycle.

Some things acquire postmortem value. 50 years from now, those will be rare collector items.

That's not the reason. A vast majority of collectors lose money on their hobby. "It will rise in value" is just a massive COPE.

i"m just going to add to that, however, that i would most cetrainly most definitely not be ''Looking'' for whatever title i feel like buying when sseeing its plethora of dvd bonus feautures and without hessitation feel more appealed to buying it just because of that fact
So that kindof throws a dent in your theory
I would never be biase, just look and find a reason because of some vague bts productions, to buy it and add to my collection.
There is no further motive behind it. No bias, no intention. Just collecting on impulse...,.
