Aug 6, 2027 when the Chinese make it mandatory to get fetal genetic augmentation so the offspring can handle the biomechanical implants needed to lift and carry over long distances instead of having to eat as much and take a train.
Easier than building and fitting all that infrastructure somewhere.
>Are with it?
You bedda habeeb it
>What will be the acre for its GRAIN?
Governments can spend less if you can do more for yourself. All the taxes and half the expenditure. It's win win for them.

Like you already cannot commit calculations, cannot have extensions and some non normal points of life...

When we consider year 1200, we are already transhumanist.

At current speed we will be more trans humanist by tomorrow.

Pfft, newbie. Posthumanity could survive for 10^115 years by using the energy gained by black holes. Additionally future tech may allow eternal survival.

Already in it bub.

What your wondering about, is the Posthuman era.

I think a variation of this is likely. Change would be that optimum states of happiness are unlikely what we have evolved so to be able to experience optimum states need to change human brain system to feel greater pleasures and new emotions. Perhaps happiness of a person can scale with the size of their brain.

I suppose until we fully understand consciousness and emotion these will remain hypotheticals.

>transhuman
it's going to be post-human and starts officially in 10-15 years. Unofficially it has already started in some shady glow-in-the-dark agency.

Instead of pleasure I seek autosentience, knowledge and experience. Mere hedonism doesn't satisfy me - there exists a qualitative difference of contentment. I wish to maximise potential, explore all inner and outer spaces, learn everything there is and find a way to reverse entropy. Only if eternity proofs impossible and standing at the end of everything I would consider to jump.

You seek the pleasure you derive from those things.

Meaningless. Pleasure is pleasure.

> and worse than hell

No, it’d be heaven, probably better. The capacity to experience negative sensations and emotions ought to be pruned from the human psyche.

Doesn't China genetically engineer children since atleast 2018? Add Neurallink, emerging life extension and nano tech to it and you get to a transhuman reality very fast. I wouldn't be surprised if we got our first cyborg soldiers in the 30s.
