I have a pretty high IQ (128) and I've never had to study or really try to get good grades but my new school is a lot harder and if I don't study I will fail. How do I study properly anons I need help or ill fail.

Why is it that with an IQ of 135 I constantly do bad in school (b average). When I was younger I was getting A's without trying but now everything is difficult and I have no idea how to study propely.

Holy shit, never heard of that, but I just looked up that shit and it's the method I've been using since I was a little kid. It is indeed a great way to study. If you can explain a topic to someone in the simplest way, then you understand it. I always pretend to be teaching to a classroom, and then pretend people are asking me questions about things that are not very clear and I try to explain it even further. If I can come up with a question to which I cannot find the answer, I just go back in the book.

Depends what you are studying.

If it's non-sci then you just memorize essays. If it's science, then i just read over a chapter without taking any notes, then just practice - notes are a waste of time in the first two years.

Read the damn textbook. Do the assigned homework. Whenever you don't understand something, ask the teacher after class, one on one. Make sure you have a nice quiet study area in a room with a door you can close so you can be productive in your study. Talk about what you learn with your peers and ideally teach it to someone else. Watch youtube videos and read Wikipedia pages on the subject to see it from a fresh perspective. That's all you need to know. Do your damn work. Good luck.

I have found that having people with who I could talk to about my grades and where I was in my study pushed me into working harder.

Yes this is the way. You should go over the material before lecture. If you are at a lower level you can learn an entire course in like a week with khan academy
