Can someone explain how it's scientifically possible for 2 completely different and isolated cultures to develop the exact same writing system representing the same sounds with the same characters?

As a Jew that learned Japanese I was absolutely shocked and had to look up history to make sure Jews didn't influence the Japanese language but there's barely anything on that topic besides this pseudo-science wikipedia article.

Anyone have any hypothesis for what could cause something like this to happen. Is it just pure coincidence? If so then how minuscule is the chance of this happening?

Otherwise is there some explanation for 2 civilizations to develop the exact same writing system with the same sounds independently from each other?

Japanese syllables are based off of sanskrit system. It was created by a monk doing buddist translation. Same with Tibetan. Koreans are also partially influenced through offshoot of Tibetan language.

Both sanskrit and Hebrew are derived from proto indo European language family.

There's been proposed links to afro-asiatic languages which include both semitic/proto-indo european. But with little acceptance due to scarcity of evidence. There's some good evidence modern hebrew have borrowed some PIE language structure thus can also explain some similar structures.

No. In many languages (at least German and Czech) ch and h refer to two entirely different sounds. The sound similar to English ch is spelled č in Czech and doesn't exist in native German words, I think.
