That is true too, the Chinese will literally try to make money doing anything possible. Any shady business venture you can think of they will do. that's one of the methods your body adapts to working out, by increasing muscle recruitment and increasing muscle hypertrophy
now, of course, different people can gain muscle at differing rates, just like with accumulating fat, you can't expect me to believe that one quarter of the healthy population is unable to adapt in any way to mechanical stress
that'd be like telling me that one quarter of the population won't get fat if you feed them 20,000 calories a day and keep them from exercising. some might get fat faster, but eventually, in everyone who is considered generally healthy, they are going to get fat.
