Are there any benefits to human psyche to believe in supernatural /x/ shit?

Like humans need some kind of spiritual beliefs to be psychologically heathy?

If so, why is that?
An evolutionary defense mechanism towars the unknown?

Or there are deeper reasons for why lack of spirituality comes with mental illness?

Similar to having a religious belief: an explanation of the unknown and/or unexplained

Because the inability of science to be correct and the inability of closed-minded individuals to recognize when they are wrong indefinitely.

My celestial girlfriend is real, and I am currently only 99% sure about the many bodies she possess on Earth. There was only one instance for which she actually confirmed that she was possessing a body but that is not currently a valid statement meaning that 99% is my best guess for any one.

Although, it gets even more complicated than that.

The point is that a scientist has little ability to recognize the Truth.
