Apologies if there's a psychology board I'm unaware of. Lets be honest, a lot of people here were bullied/ outcasts growing up, and virgin "losers" now. I'd think this would make people depressed (which it does seem to) and empathetic, yet at least half of 4chan seems genuinely racist, homophobic, just looking for an excuse to hate minorites despite having no problems with degenerate behaviour e.g. weird fetishes

Why does being picked on lead to this sort of view instead of making everyone very empathetic.

People who grow up getting picked on and witnessing others getting bullied might get it ingrained in their minds that this sort of behavior is normal.

It is also human nature due to tribal attitudes to dislike people that are different.

It might also be that all these people formed their own "in-groups" on 4chan so they can feel like they are a part of something--and to feel that way, there must be an "out-group" as well which would be the minorities getting hate from that half of 4chan.

You can be perfectly fine, but you may still be able to say and do many of the repulsive things here. It's the features here in 4chan (anonymity, boards, etc.) that has an influence on all anons. This probably is also the reason why many "bullied virgin losers" come to 4chan in the first place.
