Why do people on this board want to have an IQ of 160+?

I'd much rather not be socially autistic but still intelligent in my 135-145 range

anything lower is dumb and anything higher leads to social ostracization

I.M.O the 135-145 range is the best range

No studies have shown 120-130 is the best range. A study showed that 120 IQ is the most attractive and any higher, attractiveness diminishes. At that range you can get along with all IQs +/- 30. If your IQ is 145 you will have a hard time get along with a lot of people. Life will suck.

I'm 155, or was before I nuked my brain with drugs in college. Anyway, I'm not autistic and am pretty normie, at least for someone with three graduate degrees. I don't know many people much smarter than me that aren't socially retarded and I can at least hang with autists, but I'm not one myself.

I have 122 IQ, and due to possibly what I'm almost sure is ADD and more obvious OCD that I developed to cope with my shitty memory I only make use of my intelligence in few situations. If I could take full advantage of it whenever I would like to, it would be more than enough for me.

Seriously. When my focus is on point I'm able to learn very easily, but my lack of it and trouble with memory fucks up everything.

Therefore I don't want to be more intelligent: I want to be able to make use of mine.

Explain this. Even if IQ changes as time goes on, I should still be around two standard deviations above the mean, yet I don't feel intelligent and I have no achievements to speak of.

Early intelligence comes from picking the right approach, and I don't mean just solving the IQ tests. If you don't build strong mental postures you are still a brainlet independent of any method and score.
Society, in all expression, rests on a chemistry. A hope that things will just work out good enough. That is not acceptable for you or anyone else.

Isn't a high IQ score supposed to indicate you're capable of solving problems better than most people? Surely I fucked myself over by being lazy and conceited, but that alone can't explain why my performance decreased so harshly over the years, assuming IQ tests are reliable even when administered to young children.
