Hey /sci/chos

I'm a GCSE and A Level tutor for biology, maths and physics in the UK. Essentially just high school science.

I'm a big believer in making learning fun, and so I used to recommend Big Bang Legends (pic related) to kids as it teaches (admittedly rudimentary) particle physics in a very engaging way.

Unfortunately the developers have stopped working on it, and it has consequently been removed from app stores. A pity, because it was genuinely fun and made by the same guys who did Angry Birds.

I know this isn't a typical /sci/ thread, but can you guys recommend any other exceptional (Android) apps that can teach highschool biology, maths or physics in a reasonably fun, achievement-oriented and problem-solving way?

The Big Bang Theory is nonsense so don't bother with that.

Split the class into two, ask one side to try and prove the earth is a globe with practical experiments, ask the other side to try and prove the earth is flat with practical experiments.

Large range of ages from 9-10 up to 18. Basically just any science they teach in school before uni.

The app I used as an example may not have been the best example. Another good one is Circuit Jam in the Play Store. It teaches about circuitry in a series of puzzles you have to solve, and the further you progress the more components for free mode you earn.

In essence, I'm just looking for recommendations of interactive apps to learn high school physics, maths and biology with
