It will never reach 4 billion. Everyone who believes it will hit 4 billion are banking on Nigeria and the D.R. Congo among others keeping up their high birthrates. What these people fail to realize is that the entire African continent is on life support enabled by the current globalist trade system. I am not saying it will collapse, no, but it will certainly change in the way that many nations will stop investing in Africa. China especially will have so many problems in the next 50 years that the African colony dreams will fall through. The population will still rise in the short-medium term though until they get rugpulled so hard by the international trade system that civil unrest will probably result in a famine and some wars.

In 1900 all of the best demographers and geographers thought Russia would be by far the world's most populous country by 2000. They came closer than many other nations but still didn't make the cut, now 123 years later they are losing people like there is no tomorrow.

Also I think we will never hit 10 billion people. Many people now think we will not even hit 9 billion. Birthrates are absolutely plummeting in so many countries it's crazy.
