That's a nice thing to fantasize about but there will never be another time like 1960. That was a once and species event for social development and brought society into a technological light age that eventually brought us to the internet.

The problem is with that development came a sinister group that gained power. In early 2000's they recognized that too much enlightment was bound to happen to the species to they dimmed the light age. Then they got really close to collapsing the economic system when people were learning of the market manipulation and political manipulation of the world and realized the system isn't sustainable.

They have decided to push us into a dark age where information doesn't flow and speaking truths will lead to economic destruction. All with the intention of rebuilding a system that cannot fail because nobody can succeed enough to fail.

NASA will always be remembered by history as the agency that put humans on the moon and sent probes to every planet - including former planet pluto. In the last decade they landed rovers on mars and launched the JWST. The artemis program is just a pork project to get as much funding as possible before they have to cancel it. There is just no political will for funding landings on the moon and commercial interest seems unlikely.
