science says gender does not exist but sex does. Societies gender confusion started with stupid things like assigning colors to associated genders. It got even worse with comical levels of pointlessly gendered things. People started to claim their own new genders because others were so offended that a girl could like the color blue that they noped out of it. I think this is totally valid in the sense that I don't think a transgender person would ever truly be the gender they transitioned into. In Asia they've had the concept of a third gender for ages. Being transgender isn't a new thing by any means
