LISTEN TO ME LAZY GOON !

UNIRONICALLY want to become a PRISONER OF YOUR OWN PROCRASTINATION and LAZINESS for the rest of your PATHETIC LIFE?

The true vocation of man is to become the best possible, and thus to embody within himself the ideal of humanity. And this ideal is focused on development - a fulfilled person is a person who makes full use of his or her development possibilities.

The sense of life is the state of perfection and harmony of thinking and action, which leads a person to the heights of his possibilities,

Modernity, on the other hand, with its apotheosis of man, has changed everything. Modern man is affirmed as he is. Already at the starting point he thinks that he is good enough and does not need development and fulfillment in his life. Otherwise, he could not be considered in his own eyes as equal to other people. Therefore, instead of overcoming himself and becoming someone else (better form of himself), he has to be himself, to be and remain who he is. For me, the value of human life is not closed in reproducing the same forms and schematics, but it requires going beyond for something new in his life.

Ironic. You are a slave to your weed and vidya. How can i tell?
Well you're 19 and post on /sci/, so you're probably a college student.
Because of coronavirus, you probably don't have a job.
But you said "all I want to do is smoke weed and play video games", so your desires require money.
Instead of saving your money, you spend it on consumables, namely weed and money.
So, you will stay poor.
So you will always stay a slave. Your few hours of escapism is not real, it never will be real.

>But when all people have become useless, self-prop systems will find no advantage in taking care of anyone. The techies themselves insist that machines will soon surpass humans in intelligence. When that happens, people will be superfluous and natural selection will favor systems that eliminate them-if not abruptly, then in a series of stages so that the risk of rebellion will be minimized.

>Even though the technological world-system still needs large numbers of people for the present, there are now more superfluous humans than there have been in the past because technology has replaced people in many jobs and is making inroads even into occupations formerly thought to require human intelligence. Consequently, under the pressure of economic competition, the world's dominant self-prop systems are already allowing a certain degree of callousness to creep into their treatment of superfluous individuals. In the United States and Europe, pensions and other benefits for retired, disabled, unemployed, and other unproductive persons are being substantially reduced; at least in the U. S., poverty is increasing; and these facts may well indicate the general trend of the future, though there will doubtless be ups and downs.

Like "Livers," an under-educated but well-fed 80% of the population in USA who enjoy a life of leisure from From the trilogy "Sleepness" written by Nancy Kress.

Just read these books and then you will see a STRIKING RESEMBLANCE to "amateurs of life" - nothing doing human parasites, who constitute the vast majority of society (80% of society in USA), but have the right to vote on politicians, which is their only but valuable asset .

Here you can read books from this trylogy if you dont believe.

Not for the foreseeable future. If humans currently do 50% of the work and machines the other 50%, and the machines get better and can now do 90% of the jobs then we've grown the output of our civilization five fold. If they can do 99% of the work then we've grown 50 fold. This of course is a simplistic model that didn't take into account building the machines and retaining the humans.

My point is that automation is not bad. The only difficulty is changing things to adapt to automation and the only danger is that the wealth of automation concentrates into hands of a few individuals. A Universal Basic Income will become a necessity.

You establish some kind of ultra-capitalism. But at the same time you cut out all advertisement. You basically have just lists of products and there physical values, every time you go shopping. This would exterminate every industry, who cant produce efficient.

No you retarded faggot, you can still compete with other people in stuff like sports, art, and science. The only difference is that 99% of people won't have a fat kike boss breathing down their neck to work triple overtime so he can afford his new yacht while paying you scraps.

>> No.11888523

If you could trick prestige orientated people to accumulate, in certain areas. It would be a beginning. Let me explain some pure prestige orientated jobs, destroy real physical value instead of generate it, like for example an hairdressing salon. If functional objects get just build around its function and nothing else, massive resources would get released into the society. If objects get judged just by there pure physical/technical values, there would be less reason to compete with each other.

Take Africa for example, many people in Africa are unable to play team, this is why they have such a regressive system.

If you haven't any prestige orientated value on any given object you can only judge it by its physical values, there for the optimization of machines would be pushed forward, towards its total physical use.

But how will you achieve post scarcity when ressources are finite? Even if you had a star trek replicator it still needs energy, there is only so much fuel (nuclear, fusion) and so much surface area for solar etc. this becomes even more of a problem if people can live forever. Post scarcity will never be achieved, only periods of wealth and prosperity after the appearance of certain inventions followed by eventual scarcity due to the population growth catching up again. In other words, there will always be natural selection for who gets access to the finite ressources and it's certainly not going to be lazy 420 faggots.

Anon, I live the life you want. I suffer through it. All the weed consumption, video games and porn have fucked my dopamine system and I am not used to getting my reward through hard work. for years I have been giving myself dopamine at the push of a button. I have been fooling myself.

i am currently in the phase of wanting to stop - but i can't. i have no job, no supportive environment and i think so much about the state of the world that it makes me powerless. blackpilled.

i recommend you to look for a job. better, acquire skills on your own that will enable you to create passive income streams.
if you already want to play video games, then do livestream, build a community and create your circle of competence. if you can't make a living in 1-2 years, get a job!

And about the weed smoking... it only prolongs your childhood attitude. other drugs are fun but will destroy you in the long run.

recognize your problem and save yourself before you blow your dopamine system to pieces.

btw: can anybody help me? I want to be free. how can I kill my old ego and start over?

As I outline in this post: >>11893310, I imagine the future could take two forms:

Part 1:
On the utopian scenario, automatization would progress at a gradual but steady pace, leading to lower costs of production across the board. This would free up a lot of unemployed labor, leading to reforms like Universal Basic Income to curtail unrest, and an economy where people work less and less hours. Increased productivity and lower production costs should lead to increased living standards even with people working less hours. As the cost of production of many goods tends to get even lower and lower and approach zero, many industries will begin to function similarly to the way the "Free Software" industry works today, where people voluntarily work on it just for the prestige and enjoyment it gives them, rather than seeking a wage or profit. "Corporations" could eventually become non-profit Foundations like the Mozilla Foundation or the Linux Distributions teams, which compete against each other on the market, seeking prestige rather than profit. People would eventually get consumer goods either for free, or by making a voluntary symbolic donation to the Foundation they support in exchange for the product. It would be a new form of capitalist system, with markets and "corporations" competing for consumers and market share, but the prices would be symbolic or close to zero, and prestige would be the main currency.

It would take possibly hundreds of years for us to get to this point, but you can see signs of this model of production already starting to extend to markets outside of software, like 3D printing templates, which you can already rate and download for free.

11893886

>>11893878

Part 2:
Then again a lot of things could go wrong, and rather than a gradual evolution to post-scarcity utopia, there could be large numbers of people suddenly left unemployed and with no income, leading to upheavals, revolts, perhaps induced scarcity by corporations ("patents and copyrights") to protect their bottom line, and accompanied by government surveillance to enforce it. Rather than gradual evolution we could have chaos from too rapid change on one hand, or official resistance to change on the other, derailing the idea of a gradual process.

And what of our automated factories and the complex AIs needed to make them work?
How far along the intelligence scale would our AI progress?
At which point will it become slavery? At what point will they demand "rights"?

Certainly, it is something we will have to address in the next 100 years.
