The only reason for my existence is to fund this. What did he mean by this?

If Starship works at all, it will revolutionize spaceflight over night. If Starship works as intended, it will go down in history as the vehicle that opened up space for the common man.

If he manages to pull it off, he will be the actual Adam of Mars. He will turn legend into reality. That is a pretty huge legacy. Many men have singlehandedly founded a city, some a county. None a planet.

If by "common man" you mean the sme people that use to fly concord. It'll be a huge deal and will make lots of space industries economically viable but I think we are still a long way off the average joe taking a LEO vacation.

Common man means avg working person. They can work 10 years on earth earning 60k a year, spending 20k a year, saving 30k a year. 300k is the ticket to Mars.

Paying people smarter than you to engineer things by itself is not enough; just ask Jeff Bezos, Charles Branson, or Paul Allen's estate how well their space stuff is working.

In what way is Blue Origin better than SpaceX? SpaceX is routinely launching satellites into space, and has the largest private satellite constellation in orbit. BO has done a few suborbital flights. So how is BO better?

You have no idea how much I hate this guy and every other dumbfuck who idolizes him.
I wish he could just get to mars already just so he shuts the fuck up, but in all reality we all know he wouldn't anyway.

Why do you fucking clowns always need an idol to worship? What the fuck is lacking in your sad lives?

Nah, it opens space tourism to rich people, which is a necessary step. I want them to beta test the plasma burning sky dive and propulsive landing thing for me. But it needs to be an order of magnitude cheaper again.

The only people going to mars are suicidal scientists and test pilots. It's an extremely dangerous and expensive mission and you're stuck there for like a year and a half. And in that time you'll be getting as much value out of the expedition as possible, think autistic moon rock collecting except x10. Colonization and even tourism is completely ridiculous at this point. It costs an exorbitant amount of money to keep a human alive on mars, your numbers are crack smoke.

Jesus fucking christ. You can sell bad people on trip to the moon and make a rocket explode.

It's legal murder possibility.
