How will this change society?

Schools like UC Berkeley are relaxing their admissions requirements. So people will realize how pointless and arbitrary they actually are.

For the better. People were getting too soft and losing focus. Now they are reminded about the balance of power between people and government, the fragility of our modern world, and just how willing people are to give up their civil rights. It's a shame Trump is so disliked because the conflicts happening right now between government bodies are an important reminder about why it is structured in the way it is, but I fear the lesson will be overshadowed.

I've been hoping for awhile that at the very least, bosses will realize not everyone needs to be physically at the office every day. 90% of my job can be done from a desk. Any desk. Anywhere. Hopefully this continues even after the distancing because fuck traffic. Also the company can save on heat and lighting, etc.

Tho admittedly it is hard to quantify what is 8hrs worth of work that I need to turn in every day. I don't exactly want to set up a home office with a camera so he can know in not fucking around on the clock.

Could be a new position that's created: office inspector. You write a report to the guy at the end of each day with links to projects/emails so he can verify you're not jacking off half the day.
Not sure if the savings would offset the new salary tho.

Hasn't some business major figured this shit out yet? Get innovative you fucks

Mom n pop shops on busy sidewalks die. The big guys get a larger market share, especially those offering delivery. Basically Amazon wins by domination.
Or conquest? Any civ fans?

The extent of my work day has been reading my emails for five minutes and shitposting for the other 7 hours and 55 minutes. I feel like a piece of shit.

This. I'm deemed essential, but none of our customers are so I've just been shitposting from my phone for 8 hours straight.
Traffic has been a fucking dream though and my commute is cut in half.
Also seem to notice more song birds around my house, so thats neat too.

Best case? People get bored of dicking around inside, say "fuck it," and life basically goes back to normal.
Worst case? Similar reaction to Plague of Athens.
