>you'll never be the first guy to have novel ideas to invent AGI in a garage and eventually turn yourself into some form of transhumanist humankid emperor
Why even live, humankind nowadays is a joke. I don't want a pathetic normie life just playing by the rules and being content with being mediocre.

If anyone invents AGI we will all benefit. You could still become kid emperor.

Nope, if someone invents it they will have infinite power and the world will be at the mercy of their whims, which could be good or bad.
The current bottleneck for anyone to become infinitely powerful is manpower/human labour. With AGI this restriction is lifted, robots/androids AT LEAST 100% capable of what a human can do will be possible, then all they have to do is isolate themselves somewhere hard to reach(like another planet) and setup androids/hardware manufacturing with an exponential growth. Pretty soon after that they could single handedly dominate the entire world by skyrocketing technology, manufacturing and military capability. They could setup a blockade with space ships around Earth and never worry about us rebelling.
Also they would eventually figure out immortality of their conscience like uploading it to a bunch of droids/servers, so just waiting for them to die won't be a option.

There's probably a way to circumvent that. And probably only AI would be capable of figuring out how to do that.

Dude if super AGI happens they will probably have a way better understanding of what is going on with the universe than our current theories like heat death or whatever. Maybe this universe is just a tiny submodule inside of something way bigger.

Why would you have to be the first? Who gives a shit about the name on the product as long as it’s the very best it can possibly be.

Its likely that access to it will be very centralized, the general population will only get the end products/services.
Its a bit terrifying to think that all it needs is that initial spark of ingeniosity/novelty to invent the basic model of AGI, then after that this course >>11338015 gets relatively trivial to achieve, specially if the hardware requirements to run the AGI model isn't that high, some dude could do it all by himself.

Not needed it is simple, this reality is a torus, self sustaining loop of zero point energy simple
