i'm pretty sure most physics undergrads like these topics too, for the same reasons. quantum mechanics is a foundational piece of modern physics, and superposition (and its thought experiment, erwin's cat) is a kind of "cool" topic that are mind-bending to child-brain undergrads and premie-brain normies.

popsci is about feeding the masses what they crave for -- a brainlet level explanation of real topics. so it's no wonder that terrible explanations of this stuff exist all over the web. because you can't actually explain equations to preemie-brain normies. they demand not thinking about equations so they fail even to attain baby-brain understandings that undergrads get

Quantum mechanics is a multitiered, global conspiracy in the upper echelons of society, the more research you do, the more rediculous it gets until you either give up and take the blue pill and just accept that you are too stupid to understand it, and just pretend to.
Or you keep looking and end up finding out where stuff like how the Stern-Garlach experiment was never replicated or peer reviewed, but somehow got a noble prize, and then it turns out the scientists Einstein was working with were Nazi war criminals, but we're helping the "world's greatest Jew" with his his work lol.
Just the usual, Nazis and Jews working together, noble prizes for a secret experiment no one ever witnessed.
So you keep looking, it gets worse and worse, then you find out about the Vatican's quantum research lab, and how the Vatican has the world's largest optical telescope and has a funded team of astrophycists and mathematicians and other "scientists" who are putting out hundreds of thousands of quantum mechanics papers to use quantum mechanics to "prove" that God is real.
Then you find out about situations like Jacob Barnett getting a PhD at age 12 and writing a paper that proved god was real. And that is mother was insane and delusional and was essentially his handler, and he was used as a tool for her to force her views on the world.
And you find out the same thing happened to Stephen Hawking.
That all his work was co-written.
He was just a vegetable they where wheeling around like the arc of the covenant.
And how Hawking was in a Christian cult etc.
It's the hardest 4chan pill to swallow brothers, but Quantum mechanics is a hoax.

Anyway, if you are a scientist, you must know the story of Gallileo. How people reacted when he told them what he saw through his telescope. How the Vatican tried to burn him, how he died alone and broken, and how the Vatican didn't apologise for hundreds of years.
How angry do you think they are about that. About everyone knowing they were charlatans and god wasn't real.
Do you think they ever let that go?
The large hadron collider is the temple you worship.
Quantum computers are the alters.
Quantum mechanics is the god that answers all your questions but never really delivers.

Just think about it for a minute.
Is it really so impossible that the Nazis and the Vatican and their friends might have lied. Even a little.

Look up the bognadof controversy.
These two twin brothers write a fake quantum mechanics papers and got PhDs.....

Man it's literally called "theoretical physics" it has the word "theory" in it.
It's literally called "imaginary" maths, it has the word "imaginary" in it.
There is no proof that light is ever a particle. It is always a wave.
Light is perturbations or "ripples" in the background electromagnetic radiation that permeates the observable universe.
Electrons induce this radiation by interacting with this electromagnetic field, as the are negatively charged.
The twin slit experiment proved this.
All the other twin slit experiments were done on electrons, which exhibited a wave and particle interference pattern as a result of electrostatic discharge building up on the apparatus, the scientists knew this and fabricated their results to get a noble prize for quantum physics (no quantum=no prize) so they fradulantly applied this fake wave-particle duality of electrons onto "photons" which also don't exist.....

Ladies and gentlemen.
The birth of quantum physics.

Listen, breh. All of what we call matter is made up of just information. It's nothing. Its the groundwork of the simulation. And simulations are deceptive by nature, they don't want you to get outside or even know there is an outside. So in order to do that, but also still maintain a degree of control, God can command anything and any probabilities necessary to bring it about will coincidentally happen. Synchronicity is God's way of saying hello.

You're in here with me until you die and then you are on the outside where you can peer back inside and see people masturbating. Its a deception that we chose to endure. You will understand.

Man that's a broad topic, but basically the wavefront of a wave form compresses and reaches a higher energy state than just the total energy in the system.
It's analogous to phonon vibration, it's the reason you can see stars as tiny points of light, only the direct front of the light wave hitting your retina has the energy to ellicit a perception of light, you know the Doppler effect? How the front of the sound wave is a higher frequency than the source waves behind the sound source, the waves compress and reach higher energy states, it's also kind-of like how water will evaporate from a glass at room temperature, because the top layer of water molecules isn't attached on 6 sides to other water molecules cohesively, so it's boiling point is significantly lowered, as the top layer of water is only molecularly bonded on 5 sides.

Anyway the tunneling is because the wavefront of the electron as it "hits" the insulator, the front of the waveform compresses and it can overcome the resistance.
Despite not technically having enough energy to jump the energy gap.

Man I like your energy.
Here are some breadcrumbs I guess.
It's up to you to work out what you believe, there is only one truth though.
There may be countless versions of the truth, but there is only one actual truth.

"Basically, Jake is exactly what all of the young earth creationists out there are waiting for – someone without a belief-system axe to grind, who understands the science to go through physics, and change it all! If they were right. But of course, so far Jake seems to basically agree with the theories currently accepted. He hasn’t claimed that relativity is wrong (yet), but seems to think that he can improve it. He does think the Big Bang theory is wrong, and I hope he is right (because I never much liked that theory anyway ;).""

This is from here,
http://shanegreenup.com/2011/03/jacob-barnett-and-scientific-progress/

I'm not going to spam the thread with heaps of links, just look up Jacob Barnett, and while you are at it, feel free to not believe this. But Jacob Barnett's mother (handler/trainer) adopted a young Ukranian orphan and then claimed it was a full grown adult woman with proportionate dwarfism and abandoned her at an apartment and fled to Canada.
The dad was in on it and everything, also it's the exact same plotline from the movie "orphan" she claimed the little girl was trying to murder her family.

She is an insane Christian trying to use Jacob as a tool to manipulate people into Christianity. All Jacobs work was trying to disprove relativity etc. It was controversial, then just memory holes and now he is just a random kid.
There is more to this than you realise but what do you think they have been doing at the Vatican quantum research lab lol.

Check out some of these books they have written.

Guys I know I can't prove any of this.
But just entertain the idea. Just as a thought experiment.
There is so much to the story. It spans hundreds of years.
It took me about ten years of trying to crack quantum computing before I realised.
The hoax is incredible and yes it involves Google because of the whole "quantum computing is a hoax" thing. Yes Google selectively edits search results about quantum controversy.
Did you know the LIGO guys recently got busted for faking gravity wave evidence ;)
Then it got covered up lol.

Just as a consensus, how many years are we going to put incredible amounts of time, money and effort into quantum computing before you will admit it isn't real?
Because it's currently like 60 years.

Quantum physics is like 120 years old, no results.

What will it take for you this realise something is up. Surely the Vatican's quantum research facility is doing something. Comon people. Just listen to how sinister it sounds,
"Oh yes, at the Vatican we love science, oh would you look at that it's the "god" particle at it again, with its friends "strange" and "charm" and nothing is real and it's all a hologram of condensed multidimensional consciousness.......and GOD of course, how could I forget about god, the reason this whole facility exists, no conflict of interest here, and now I'm off to help CERN look for god."

You wanna know a funny story.
When the Bogdanof twins published their fake quantum mechanics paper and both got PhDs for a hoax, Lubis motl the string theory physicist reviewed the hoax paper and thought it was awesome, so the string theory scientists cannot tell the difference between a real QM paper and a hoax QM paper,
This is real life right now.
It's not a LARP.
And I know it's schizo and gay or whatever, but I don't think any of you realise the actual consequences of this, and more importantly, what the future holds for us.

There are several competing, incompatible QM theories that are in direct contradiction.
It can never be complete as it is fundamentally flawed and relies on fundamental flaws in physics to exist.
Such as the existance of sub atomic particles that have no evidence of their existance other than a physicist telling you it's real

I believe in protons, neutrons and electrons,
Electrons are sparks, you can touch them, see them, look at a plasma ball or play with static or build a battery or a simple circuit, the nature of electrons and their practical applications is well studied and used and explained, I don't think there are any electron controversies. And theories outside the accepted ones rarely yield results, and we have pushed what we do with electrons into almost magic territory, computers etc. I have no problems with electrons, just the quantum aspect forced into them.
Neutrons and protons are well studied and used as well, nuclear chemistry for one (atom bombs and nuclear reactors)
Also nuclear reactors transmute the elements which is wild, so once again it's practically magic,

But I don't believe in photons, quarks, tachyons, bosons, fermions, dark matter, dark energy etc.
Just the old school classical physics.

Quantum hasn't done anything by the way, that's all popsci, like we don't have anything that runs on quarks lol.

Haha can you imagine the comic book,
It's like Stephen Hawking in a modified military kill-chair.
And I'm his arch-nemesis, Hoaxfag, and the battle is like Pokemon themed and I have spells like "cast cognitive dissonance" and "explain CPU hardware architecture with only classical mechanics rather than quantum" and it disables his kill chair attacks like "black hole attack" and "hawking radiation(which is like a poison spell
And he's like level 87 but I'm only level 72 because I actually have a main that's level 97 but I forgot the password and my account was hacked, anyway so I'm bathed in the fire of a thousand black suns as Hawking casts his main attack, hawking radiation emitting from a small black hole generated in a quantum reactor embedded in his kill-chair, powering several quantum computers and other quantum machines capable of doing anything regardless of the laws of and without question question from main stream science, I roll a 19 and roll out of the way of the event horizon, looking directly into the eyes of God as a sneak a glimpse of a doorway punched clean through this dimension into the next, such beauty, bit Hoaxfag must get back to the fray, casting "disable" at the lifesuppory system of Doctor hawking i forget that he is so close to a black hole that time has essentially stopped and he has predicted my move for countless aeons, his immunity to the passage of time made obvious by the fact he had a lifespan after diagnoses of like three years and liked like 47 more and it's the only case like this, Hawking is far more immune to death than you might imagine, this was the power of the quantum micro blackhole, my disable spell misses the life support module and is fully absorbed by Hawking's organic frail body that is now more machine than man, "disable" is not effective! He is already disabled!
Hawking rolls the dice and gets a 7, then says because it's quantum mechanics that it's technically every number at once so he casts all his ..

"Spooky action at a distance" as Einstein called it was an example he theorized to BTFO people who thought particles didn't exist until they were observed because it would violate the fundamental idea that "things are in the place that they are in" which was then tested and turned out to be wrong. This is probably the most debasing discovery ever made in science.
If people really understood what it meant they'd be even more obsessed because of all the really depressing implications it has.

Haha, yeah, just stay up all night and use a fan for white noise, or even better a static channel on the tv, cut some pingpong balls in half and make them into goggles, it's called "ghanzfeild" or something, you will hallucinate vividly, and hear stuff in the static,
If you use red candles, the yellow flame flickers yellow red and orange through the ping pong goggles, emulating the womb, ask your parents what music your mother used to play while you were gestating, listen to it.
Go on a rebirth journey and undo some of that childhood traumas ;)
If you wanna get real weird with it get into a shower in the dark with lots of candles,
Womb emulation.

No, Galileo was imprisoned because he dissed the fucking Pope and the Church was currently very pissy because of Protestants.
In addition, given present evidence (and capabilities) during that period, it was more rational to assume geocentrism than heliocentrism. He couldn't even fucking prove his argument until some faggots did several years later.

Pop science: Making complicated phenomena understandable for people who aren't in the loop
Quantum physics is very complicated, and it's complicatedness and the fact that it isn't "solved" yet makes it seem cool to normies. Within quantum physics, the topics you listed are the most easily simplifyable, so generally that's what popsci latches on to.

>In reality it shows fundamental stochasticism.

Your power level is like 5.
I know this because it is essential to know your enemy.
Superdeterminism is correct, consequence to being logically valid and sound, meaning that it is true, or that in all cases it corresponds exactly with reality in both predictive and analytical power.
Stochasticism is the notion that "randomness is fundamental" and not just an artifact of our predictive models and capabilities in measurement.
The notion of probability as some kind of force, like the notion of space as an object, is the equivalent of stating that something can act upon nothing. I, for one, refuse to subscribe to such a view.
