What's wrong with knowing the clock will ring when the hands come into alignment at the "12" mark.

It's religion. That doesn't make it wrong or right (except that it's paganism and as such, an abomination in the eyes of G-d) it just doesn't answer the same kinds of questions that science is supposed to answer.

It can be tested and it claims to be compatible with the natural world. At least fundamentalists have the balls to deny most scientific observations lol.

Peleton (who makes overpriced exercise equipment) ran a Christmas ad which said that exercise is good, featuring the qt in the OP.
Fat feminists lost their shit and claimed that it is misogynistic to say that exercise is a good thing.

Shouldn't there be some validity to it? Like, being born in the winter could realistically have an impact on you vs being born in the summer

Well depends what you mean by validty. Is it a sensible hypothesis? Of course it is. Does the actual "theory" holds any merit as a scientific field? No. A good scientists understands that to completely deny the possibility is also bad, but you are left with a shitty argument that "it can be possible and we just don't understand". By the same standards, I could generate whatever new field based on this knowledge. Yes, you could say it has a religious component to it, but most modern astrologer present it as scientific and that's what the problem. A mainly christian country would probably not be too kind to people who present this shit as a religious experience. They present it as "spiritual" so it has an impact with religious people, but you can also see no actual theology is presented.

It was retroactively refuted by Augustine of Hippo in 400 AD in Book Four of his Confessions.

There was at that time a wise man, very skillful and quite famous in
medicine. [91] He was proconsul then, and with his own hand he placed
on my distempered head the crown I had won in a rhetorical contest. He
did not do this as a physician, however; and for this distemper "only
thou canst heal who resisteth the proud and giveth grace to the
humble." [92] But didst thou fail me in that old man, or forbear from
healing my soul? Actually when I became better acquainted with him, I
used to listen, rapt and eager, to his words; for, though he spoke in
simple language, his conversation was replete with vivacity, life, and
earnestness. He recognized from my own talk that I was given to books
of the horoscope-casters, but he, in a kind and fatherly way, advised
me to throw them away and not to spend idly on these vanities care and
labor that might otherwise go into useful things. He said that he
himself in his earlier years had studied the astrologers' art with a
view to gaining his living by it as a profession. Since he had already
understood Hippocrates, he was fully qualified to understand this too.
Yet, he had given it up and followed medicine for the simple reason
that he had discovered astrology to be utterly false and, as a man of
honest character, he was unwilling to gain his living by beguiling
people. "But you," he said, "have the profession of rhetoric to support
yourself by, so that you are following this delusion in free will and
not necessity. All the more, therefore, you ought to believe me, since
I worked at it to learn the art perfectly because I wished to gain my
living by it."

When I asked him to account for the fact that many true
things are foretold by astrology, he answered me, reasonably enough,
that the force of chance, diffused through the whole order of nature,
brought these things about. For when a man, by accident, opens the
leaves of some poet (who sang and intended something far different) a
verse oftentimes turns out to be wondrously apposite to the reader's
present business. "It is not to be wondered at," he continued, "if out
of the human mind, by some higher instinct which does not know what
goes on within itself, an answer should be arrived at, by chance and
not art, which would fit both the business and the action of the
inquirer."

Astrology claims that your behavior is determined by your star sign. It's funny how the same people who dismiss biological determinism as "sexist" or "racist" are also willing to accept astrology as truth.
