He made good contributions to QFT (which is always respectable), and he had a good media presence that helped sell people on the idea that physics majors weren't neckbeard nerds. Of course there are great scientists like Dirac, Heaviside, Schrodinger, Boltzmann, etc., and that doesn't detract from them. His speech about how anyone, if given sufficient passion and effort, can become a scientist.
I do like that he points out that measures like IQ are concerned more as a score for social merit rather than an actual intellectual tool in the public. That is, he saw many brilliant scientists in his day, but truth be told that one is most likely sufficiently intelligent after passing the quals, but only through reading and ridiculous devotion to the subject (read: non g-loaded activities, mostly synthesis of others' work) is how one becomes a great academic

A good, naughty and self-serving physicists who made QED approachable, wrote several autobiographies about how smart he is, engineered the atom bomb, literally cucked his students (by fucking their wives), "worked" during day-time hours in strip clubs and enjoyed the occasional drag dressup.

Him + Dr Seuss made me appreciate the simplicity. Whenever I'm tackling a new issue/question, I always try to give a clear understanding of the subject by using metaphors/examples that fit with the model of subject in depth in all its nuances.

Oh shit that's right I forgot, the casmir effect is incontrovertible proof that the copenhagen interpretation of quantum mechanical phenomena is correct, thank you for putting me in my place anon. I'm afraid you've been memed. The Casimir Effect is actually just the van der Waals force between metal plates, when treated in a fully quantum field theoretic manner. The description in terms of lowering the vacuum energy density is a faulty quasiclassical picture.

I guess your average physics student is just so socially retarded that they needed someone like Feynman to show you can both excel and have fun in life. Feynman still came out as pretty autistic at times though, which probably just made him more relatable.

>> No.10861657

I think its his way of thinking, his genuine curiosity is where his passion comes from and it is contagious. Another way he influenced people is because he is not some giant genius with a sky-high IQ but someone with genuine love and passion for nature

>> No.10861671

>>10853378
Well for one his life is full of fun stories which he's told throught his lessons and interviews. Beyond that Feynman had an extraordinary ability to explain complex concepts in a way that was very digestable for the layman, and beyond that quite inspirational as he very often proved new ways to look at things.

You could say his curiousity was highly infectious.

he was right about .. 2/3 of 25% of ToE

his diagram supposed to be like
X Axis is Space
Y Axis is (Minus) Time
Z Axis is Gravity
and have 3D Sub Particle on it.. that is a 25%
the other 75% is

X Axis is (Minus) Space
Y Axis is Time
Z Axis is (Minus) Gravity

for Anti Particle

X Axis is (Minus) Time
Y Axis is Space
Z Axis is (Minus) Gravity

for Reverse Anti Particle

X Axis is Time
Y Axis is (Minus) Space
Z Axis is Gravity

for Reverse Particle

and all space combined is 0
all sub particle combine is 0
and now you can use the diagram for Type O ( 24 Dimensional ) of String Theory.
