Why does red food looks and tastes so good? Is it about primordial thirst for blood?

are those shrimp?

if so, 3 bowls
1 with flour and a little bit of cayenne
1 with egg yolk
1 with unsweetened coconut flakes

dip them in that order put them on a plate
fry up a pan with some oil, I just use canola

cook em on high, they'll crackle and pop takes literally like 5-10 seconds to get them cooked beautifully on each side. but I don't know your stove, you want golden-brown anyway

That's not blood; it's myoglobin. Plenty of cultures use blood in various recipes, though. Blood pudding is an obvious example.

unironically this. we have good color vision and are drawn to bright red things in large part because early apes were big on foraging, and fruits tend to be much brighter-colored than the leaves around them.

It well know that blood is most important stimulus to see red color in fist place. Grass/trees is the main stimul to see green. And blue, that was developed the latest was mostly driven by water and probably sky. Everything else had almost zero relative impact to our vision.

Outside of berries, grapes, a potato, some carrots, Lingcod, frosting, Booberry cereal and the Star Wars galaxy there is no blue food; start there, Jocko Homo.

Not him but fast food restaurants employ the color red because it makes people feel uneasy subconsciously and they leave quicker.

It triggers a sort of "retreat" stimulation in your brain.
