According to Schopenhauer it´s of course a positive experience.Something you experience is always positive in a scientific meaning, and negative things cannot be experienced. The good feelings, if you take Schopenhauer as reference, are just negations of such positive pains you feel, it´s only relief, but not at all a fully painless life afterwards, it´s only lesser pain we can achieve.
By the way Schopenhauer had to children, but they died early. This guy has proclaimed that every time you want to have sex you want to procreate. He never resignated this will and just spoke oft it as good, with no intention to do it.
