Well, not really. The amount of co2 they release is minimal compared to human activity while the volcanic aerosols and ash they release really do affect the climate significantly by blocking radiation from the sun. For example krakatoa and tambora both caused adverse conditions like snowing across the world and lowered temperatures for years. This even happens today.

so to save the earth, all we need to do is turn it into a volcanic rock with an atmosphere of toxic gas and ash that chokes all plant life to death. And do this consecutively till we decide to stop using fossil fuels.
