Archaeologists commonly misinterpret what Neanderthals were actually. I remember what my college professor told me. Everyone commonly portrays Neanderthals as this sort of ogreish dumb-dumb, but that couldn't be farther from the truth.

The truth is that Neanderthals were incredibly smarter than what many Archaeologists believe, the clear evidence is in the cranial and brain capacity they had.
