Backwash from infant saliva triggers mothers' milk to adjust its nutritional value according to the infants need.

HOW THE FUCK DOES EVOLUTION EXPLAIN THIS!
How does adaption have enough time to select for this even through "4" billion years?
How does natural selection explain delicate biological mechanisms?
Yeah over 100,000 years a bird will start developing darker tail feathers but how many generations would be needed to create this "magic" breastmilk?

I don't know what this all is or why. I do know that formula feeding an infant should be a crime with severe punishments. Back in the day lack of breast milk would not have been acceptable for anyone's child and the community would have handled it somehow if the mother couldn't produce.

Cats will feed whoever's offspring. They don't care.

Onions infant formula shouldn't exist. This isn't a mistake, it's a trap and an assault on children.

You basically said nothing.
Get this:
>A woman can simultaneously feed two
>A new born and a 1 year old
>each drink out of a different breast
>each breast will then produce a different milk to satisfy each breastfeeder (OP pic related)
How many generations with this mutation will be needed to weed out the other unmutated organisms?
Shits illogical to believe.

Genre crossover all the time and genetically mutate throughout life and the ones that had this adaptive trait presumably were able to foster more babies with the same trait. Since most genes that are functional are carried on the X chromosome of the mom and one of these is passed over, it’s not crazy to think that a couple million years could have done it.

it's probably not as insane as you think you hype beast
of course it's remarkable but it's just another immunological reaction right? This might've been strongly selected for in the days of high infant mortality, not surprising.

Apparently the number is low enough. What makes you think the pressure was low enough at all times for this not to occur in mammals?
There are more "illogical" (unexpected by laymen) mutations to optimize the proccess of reproduction, not just within mammals.

Seeing as how before the modern surplus of food, this would likely occur fast, and may even have occurred in our evolutionary ancestors. Lack of appropriate nutrients will lead to a considerable disadvantage of survival of a child and may stunt development. This is cool, but not surprising.

>The only way of discovering the limits of the possible is to venture a little way past them into the impossible.
The mother's immune system responding like this isn't absurd or anything; it really should have been expected.
First, you're dealing with the immune system's responses in tandem with breast feeding instead of anything related to the production of milk. Second, the immune response is to infection introduced to the mother's body (as what would normally happen). Third, it's well known that breast milk naturally contains a high amount of IgA immunoglobulins and other types of antibodies (mainly through the colostrum, milk after delivery) alongside many types of bacteria to foster the baby's immune system (one of the reasons why natural breast feeding is preferable). Secretion of immune response in the breast milk from these things should follow so that the breast milk is not cross-contaminated and does not foster negatively infective agents.
