Yes. If you're under 130, you will never have a chance at making it in pure math. Even the 130s are pushing it; you'll have to work twice as hard as your peers and will never amount to anywhere near as much. Math is really a 140+ game.

You can be an excellent engineer with 120-130, certainly above average in your field, but you can only be a mediocre mathematician or physicist with that IQ. Pick you battles wisely.
