pretty much this. I'm a second year chem major at my university and I can safely say that about half of the people who started as chem majors have already transferred elsewhere. Chances are, you're going to deal with a lot of bullshit classes before you get to the fun ones (Gen Chem, Analytical Chem, etc. before stuff like organic)
If your university offers a major like science exploration, I'd pick that and then transfer into a major you like from that.

physics tiem /sci/!

on a forzen pond, a 10kg sled is given a kick that imparts it to an initial speed of 2m/s. The Coefficient of kinetic friction between the sled and ice is .1. Use the work energy theorem to find the distance the sled moves before coming to a rest.

A .6kg particle has a speed of 2.0m/s at point A and a kinetic energy of 7.5 joules at Point B

What is the total work done on the particle as it moves from A to B?

A 50kg div off a diving board and drops straight down into the water. The water provides an upward net force of 1500N. If the diver comes to a rest 5 meters below the water's surface, what is the total distance between the diving board and the diver's stopping point underwater.

Could someone convert this integer array to a byte array (endianness so that 1000 would be e8 03 00 00), because I'm stuck with retarded Windows® with no permissions and it doesn't have any tools for the job out of the box.

1) John lives 4 miles from Paul, 6 miles from George. Paul lives 8 miles from George. All three live the same distance from Richard. What is this distance?

2) Adam and Jacob are expert tic-tac-toe players. Suppose both Adam and Jacob allow their chickens (both of whom always select open squares at random) to make their first moves. The two play a single game, with Adam making the first move (with his chicken).

What is the probability that: A) Adam will win
B) Jacob will win
C) It ends in a cat's game (a draw)

3) A large street has exactly 1976 houses, each with 1 resident living inside. One day, every resident walked outside of their house and decided to play a game. A resident goes up the street and opens every front door. A second resident follows, closing every other door (2,4,6 etc.). A third resident then goes down the street, and at every third door (3,6,9 etc) opens any door that was closed, and closes any door that is open. This continues for all 1976 residents opening and closing doors.

Exactly how many doors are open when the residents are through?
