You are a volunteer in an experiment in which you will be put to sleep on Sunday. A coin will be tossed and if it lands on heads you will be awakened on Monday and interviewed. If it lands on tails you will be awakened on Monday and interviewed, then put back to sleep during which you will have your memory of being woken up erased, and then you will be woken up on Tuesday and interviewed. You are told all this before the experiment begins but you have no easy to tell what day it is when you are woken up. The interview question is: what is your subjective probability that the coin landed on heads? What do you answer?
