I have a midterm tomorrow and I am having trouble with this thermochemsitry stuff. I just can't grasp the concepts behind it. Can someone help me with this problem? To start I am leaning towards applying Hess's Law which states that the heat of reaction for an overall reaction is equal to the sum of the intermediate reactions.

2Fe + 3CO2--> Fe2O3 + 3CO = 23.0 kJ

Fe3O4 + CO3-->FeO + CO2= 18.0 kJ

3Fe2O3 + CO --> 2Fe3O4 + CO2 = -39.0 kJ

calculate H for the reaction
FeO+CO--> Fe + CO2

A force of 34.68 multiplied by 10^-16 N acts on an unknown particle traveling at a 90 angle through a magnetic field. If the velocity of the particle is 5.65 multiplied by 104 m/s and the field is 3.2 multiplied by 10^-2 T, how many elementary charges does the particle carry? I cant figure this out for the life of me

Hey sci,

Do weightlifting and martial arts have a serious effect on one's manual dexterity?

Wannabe dentfag here.

Pic related, it's an indication to the degree of my knowledge on this matter.

It's a broad term. I though I'd narrow it down.
