Well there's not a general life's work it's pretty different for everyone,
in academia most of your time is spent reading papers and books and writing to peers of papers
if you're an experimental scientist attending your experiment gathering results
And also training graduate/undegrade
A lot of pointless meeting and administrative work
the amount of work you put is up to you really, a lot of people just put the least amount of effort
if you're intrested in your subject it doesn't really feel like work to be fair, and you have quite a bit of fun while putting a lot of hours

Anyway, I believe your theorem, it makes sense. And I have enough information to tell you where to go looking for uses for it. Ask a professor about differential geometry. If you'd rather look in a book, try "Smooth Manifolds" by John Lee. That setting is more general than [math]\mathbb{R}^d[/math], however. I'm no expert myself and can't tell you whether they use this Detail or not.

It looks like your formula just says, if [math]\Omega[/math] in [math]\mathbb{R}[/math], then [math]Z(\Omega,0)[/math] is the set of directions [math]v[/math] where every small cone going out from 0 and centered around that cone intersects [math]\Omega[/math]. And [math]Z(\Omega,x)[/math] is the same thing after you shift [math]\Omega[/math] by [math]-x[/math]. So since it's something to do with directions, certainly you can express it in projective-geometry terms.

But it took a lot of work to figure even that much out. It would be easier if you explained what it's supposed to be for?? You claim at the top that something is invariant under homeomorphisms of [math]\mathbb{R}[/math], is that Z? Or is it this thing on page 2 called A? What is D in your Theorem 1?

Entropy is never random in any manner. It is the toppest of top laws of physics. It controls everything and everything you perceive to be random or chaotic. If the latter two were real then entropy couldn't function and would not exist in any manner.

It's somewhat funny that people act like becoming a doctor is hard. The hardest part of medical school was getting in. The material is all easy, there's just a ton of it. The work we do pales in comparison to the shit other people in the medical field have to deal with.

I simply walk into a room, examine the patient, talk to them, report to my attending, and write my note. But a nurse? They have to bathe the patient, wipe the patient, make sure they have the food they need, help them get to the bathroom, etc.

Know what I don't want to do? Anything a fucking nurse does, cause I couldn't handle doing it. The actual job in nursing is far harder than being a doctor.
