Even battles at sea are moving more and more towards unmanned shit and smart missiles.
If you can launch 8 of pic related from a single ultra fast skjold class corvette linked up to one another that does random maneuvers and terminal bunts, your boat full of able seamen are fucked no matter what.

Those corvettes are stealth and have a top speed of 60 knots by the way. War is not the same anymore, if you're in space, you're not bringing out the fucking boarding axes either.

That's Kongsberg though.
Either way, it's hybrid, meaning it's a rubber solid compound and a liquid oxidizer in this case hydrogen peroxide. I assume it's a hypergolic reaction in some way and the trick is in making it burn evenly in a pattern.
In that case, it's just a matter of cutting the oxidizer and it fizzles out, then reintroducing the oxidizer when you want reignition.

Still, a good party trick to get it to burn evenly.
