David Griffiths, Harvard educated professor who is one of those types where teaching physics is his life. He's published undergrad texts on quantum mechanics, EM and particle physics where the latter book even gets into super-symmetry and stuff.

Highly recommended for a good accessible start to physics.

How do other /sci/ intellectuals cope with the amount of racism that the science community encourages? I'm not talking "In 2007, black people in the US were 35% more likely to rape then white people", I'm talking "I fucking hate having to teach so many niggers" and "I can't stand it when the black kids come up to me and gum their lips together with stupid fucking questions."

I don't know if I should be removing myself from my fellow professors, attempting to re-educate them, or just dealing with it.

I like physics, and got a decent grade in high school, but i fell behind in math.

Should I major in physics? I know physics and math go hand-in-hand, so what i really should be asking is:

Can I learn my maths on time even though i fell behind?
