It would have to be a purely mathematical force, acting upon the world abstractly from outside of time, like pi, or God. Its properties would be revealed in the same way as those, for instance the sum of the reciprocal odd numbers in order with alternating signs converges to pi/4.

OP here. Unironically, can that be done? I just found out I have to take my extended family to dinner in a few hours, and my exam starts immediately after I get back.
I got in some good studying these past ~20 hours. I think I kinda understand the definition of a vector space, vector combinations and all that, and I'm going through a few exams from previous years. What the fuck is a nilpotent operator? Can someone please eli5 the Cayley-Hamilton Theorem?

I just can't take it anymore. Three days ago, I tried to solve Zeno's paradox - but before I could solve it, I could only solve half of it, and before I could solve half of it, I could only solve a quarter of it, and so on. The underlying principle has now taken over my life, and I fear that I might not be worthy to carry the burden of Zeno. I write this knowing that it shall never be posted, but I swear to end my life upon its completion.
