Stop giving brainlets false hope. IQ is certainly flawed, but it's one of the most robust, reliable, and well tested metrics in psychology. It's essentially as good as it gets. And even if IQ is garbage, heritable cognitive abilities are very real, not everyone is created mentally equal. Telling someone with mediocre cognitive ability that they can one day get tenure as an analyst at Princeton if they just work hard enough is like telling a kid with a missing foot he can break Olympic sprint records one day if he just trains hard and believes. It's ultimately very cruel.
