I'm somewhat reworking my rockets right now, and I'm not working in RSS/RO right now, I think I'm actually going to generate a second completely separate KSP save for that. Here's my contribution to the growing list of KSP Falcon-9 ripoffs. The incredibly unimaginative R-1U, Rocket, No. 1, Configuration U (uncrewed). There will of course be an R-1C, an R-1N (nuclear upper stage), then an R-2, R-3, and probably an R-4 as well, ascending from ten tons, to twenty, then fifty, and finally 100.
The R-1 isn't configured for reuse right now, but it could be easily with the addition of a small propellant reservoir and some grid fins/parachutes. It's got a TWR over 3 so adding more mass to the lower stage won't hurt it much.
