Is it worth majoring in Financial Mathematics?
I'm looking into it, since I still have 2 years to decide, but I would have to pass some additional exams for extra credit points(I'm from EU) to qualify.
I wasn't top of the class or anything this year, I don't "love" mathematics that much, but I'm willing to put in the effort. My main concern is that my only options will be in academia or some banking R&D sector, where I'll have to compete with geniuses shitting out ideas I can only dream of.
So if anybody has experience, how smart do I have to be to graduate and more importantly get a job?
