There's so much interesting content on the internet in figures, text, video, and otherwise. I would really like to spend time learning about things published online, but I don't want to waste my time just taking it in if I won't retain much of it.

I've thought about taking traditional notes, but a single notebook will get disorganized quickly and can't possibly include a lot of useful media found online. Google Docs is slow and awkward.

What software is efficient for collecting media from online sources, and can compose it into a nice form. I would love to put together reports that are easy create and read/take in, but apart from pasting a bunch of squares in MWord I'm not sure what to do.

I'm looking for some help picking out a gift for a gynecologist. I was paired up with a gynecologist friend of mine for secret santa. He lives in a different city now as he's in school so I don't know him as well as I used to.
