Just because an alien thinks differently than you due to wildly different evolutionary pressures of their home environment, it doesn't make them an asshole. I encourage you to be a little less anthropocentric and appreciate the potentiality inherent in the diversity of all sentient beings.

Imagine a philosophical equivalent to "homo economicus" - "homo ethicus," someone who acts solely to maximize the good of all.

How would this hypothetical person behave, assuming they're otherwise a normal human being that needs to sleep, exercise, eat, poop, and have warm social relationships to stay healthy?

For the purposes of our experiment, let's say our subject is white, male, and born to an ordinary, loving, upper middle-class family in New York.
