What area do you live in and how old are you + have you retaken any sixth form years (i'm right in guessing you're in year 12 right? There might be some astronomy clubs which you could join.

I'm trying to grasp the concept of neurotransmitters/receptors. I understand the gist of it but I have a couple of questions, focusing on serotonal receptors.

Does a neuron have on type of receptor? For example if I'm trying to activate a 5-HT1 response are there parts of the brain which have many ''5-HT1 cells''? Or are there multiple receptors on a nerve cell? And if there are, wouldn't there be a huge overlap in the workings of neurotransmitters, for example a nerve could be activated through seratonin or dopamine and would ''activate'' in the same way?

Thanks, I'm doing this all by self-studying so sometimes I get a bit lost.

I wanted to ask you sci fags your opinion on mobile phone and radio transmission towers.

According to the gubmint, every tower that is erected falls within the standard emission rate of 600 milliwatts per metre squared. But in truth these towers are emitting quite a bit more than that, according to some sources i know who work in the industry they are more than likely at any time emitting around 3-7000 milliwatts per metre square.

Considering the bulk of the transmissions are in the FM and UH band categories i am wondering why this is allowed to happen.

Anyone her work in the tele-communications industry, specifically broadcast and technical fields?

Very curious to hear whether or not you beleive the spin from the gubmint and the corporations who own and erect these cancer emitters.

I have searched for a while and couldn't find many equations pertaining to the Many World interpretation. Specifically, I was looking for exponential or logarithmic equations. Does anyone on /sci/ know of such equations? If so, please provide links.

Freshman year of college the only quantitative class I took was Stats. I missed the days of Physics in highschool so I took Physics and Calculus (a corequisite) for this fall. I was beast at algebra and physics and slightly less beastly at pre-calc in highschool. Am I going to die?

Fail.

The entire point of the double slit experiment is that there are certain thing which cannot be predicted.
