Anon, those are fairings. Also, the Soyuz rocket isnt very large so turning the various stages into modules wouldnt be that helpfull in the first place.

Proton or Angara wet workshops would be kind of cool though.

Dragon out, Soyuz in tomorrow. It is going to be the first manned launch of a Soyuz 2.1a rocket because the Soyuz-FG was retired last year.

This is done to standardise the production of Soyuz rockets so that only the 2.1a, 2.1b and 2.1v are being built.

I've been away for a couple of days and it seems both Soyuz launches at the end of July have been successfull. That is 6 launches in total of which 5 of them were with various Soyuz variants. There's more good news in form of the Spektr-RG X-ray telescope:

There are 4* launches planned for August including the test launch of an unmanned Soyuz capsule (MS-14) on top of Soyuz 2.1a instead of a Soyuz FG. The manned MS-15 is planned to be the last flight of the Soyuz FG which is slated for September.

*Can change considering 2 surprise launches in July.

July brings us Russian surprises in form of military launches of satellites. On july the 30th, a communication satellite of the Russian VKS (Aerospace forces) will be launched on a Soyuz 2.1a. The day after (31st of july), a Progress cargo capsule (MS-12/73P) will head towards the ISS.

This would make the 6th Russian launch this month of which 5 are done by various Soyuz variants.
