Any brainlets here? how do you cope?

I have a head circumference of just below 23 inches and an IQ that's only in the 110s. In a world where IQ is everything being a brainlet is agonizing

I don't get it. How can the speed of light be constant even when the observer has a speed relative to the photons?

Let's say me and a photon both travel in the same direction. I have a speed of 0.5c. Wouldn't the photon's speed relative to mine be 0.5c? How can it still be c when I'm traveling half the speed of light away from the photon??? Makes no sense, please help.
